If youβre considering building or renovating your home or an investment property, you may need to submit a development application, also known as a DA.
A development application (DA) is a formal application lodged with the local planning authority for permission to build a new development in your area. A DA may also be required for extensions, depending on the current planning regulations and design.
We can assist with the documentation required for lodging your Development Application. If you already have a design and simply need to have it approved (including existing structures that might require retrospective approval) we can assist you with the process. Our team also provides Building Approval (BA) services and support. Most building projects in the ACT involving new builds, alterations, additions and demolition require building approval (BA) to ensure your proposed building work complies with relevant building laws and regulations and the National Construction Code (NCC, also known as the building code).
We offer project coordination services to assist you in obtaining your building approval. We work closely with your Certifier, Builder, Entity Authorities, Architect/Designer (if the project has not been designed by us) and other Contractors to make sure there is a seamless process in obtaining your Certificate of Commencement so building work can begin.
